Students have been working incredibly hard on their self-portrait projects. The project was set up so that one side of the portrait is a image of their exterior self, and the right side of their portrait visually interprets their personalities - or the interior self. Students had to use the grid method to draw the left side in a photo-realistic way. The other side was up to them! Many were inspired by the zen tangles that we had worked on, and incorporated this technique. We will have a critique next week to discuss and ask questions about the work. It will be interesting to hear how they present their pieces! Below are a few examples of finished work.
